
Biography
ANDJELA MUJCIC (1981) Nis, Serbia
Bridging Time Through Art. Andjela Mujčić is a visual artist whose work seamlessly merges the timeless beauty of tradition and history with the dynamic energy of modern art. Presented in a fresh and engaging way, her work makes these timeless themes relevant and meaningful to today’s audience. Deeply personal, her pieces often use humor as a tool to explore serious topics, adding a unique and thought-provoking dimension to her art.
Andjela began her artistic journey by enrolling in the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Niš, specializing in textile design. In 2005, she received her degree in Painting from the Faculty of Arts in Niš. She continued her studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, specializing in drawing and painting in 2011, and completed her PhD at the Faculty of Art and Design in Belgrade in 2018.
Awards:
2022. Winner of the plaque for the work “Telo vreteno” at the 25th Tapestry Biennial “Utkano”, Gallery “Pod svodovima”, Konak knjeginje Ljubice, Belgrade, Serbia.
2021. Winner of the first prize at The 8th Artist of Vranje Biennale. Gallery of National Museum Vranje, Serbia.
2016. Purchase of work for the collection of the National Museum Kraljevo;
2015. Purchase of work for the collection of the National Museum Kruševac Art Gallery;
2010. Winner of the second prize in creative multimedia competition “Voyage Bleu” – SKC Gallery, Belgrade
